:iconnirelleth: mentioned some of the important "issues" in your posted photo.

I find the whole quite balanced as far as the lighting and colour saturation is concerned.

This would deserve a "close up" crop leaving the blosson on the upper left "corner" (I am talking about the use of the rule of the thirds).
It is my honest opinion that by trying the approach I mentioned you would get the "perfection" you are trying to reach with this one.

No need to talk about:
- the perfect focusing on the blossom;
- the narrowed depth of field that makes the blossom pop up;
- the colour contrasts that are harmonious;
...

and my "verdict" is: Very Good !

Okay, first off, I really adore the colours here, I think the red and the blue/greenish contrast really well, and make each other pop out even more. I also like the sort of texture you get from the blur in the background, it works really well without distracting the viewer from the main part, which here is the blossom of the flower.
I think you could work on the composition a little, if you would move the blossom part more to the top so that the middle part of them is at the line 2/3.
Also for me I think a little less warm light would maybe work better, as it would fit with the background more. Just a little less yellowish in the light, and a little more white-ish.
But overall a pretty image!

The color is very nice. Kind of retro but not. i don't know how to explain it.

Ooh, nice shot. I love the colors and how the focus makes it pop out.

I think it would look a little better if you cropped it some--the flowers themselves are a bit small for the image right now.

Nice job, though!

I like the vignette on this piece, really borders the shot nicely.

With regards to the colours; within the flower these are great. Nicely saturated. They extend well in to the blurred stem. The only thing I'd pick on is the colours in the background. I would have liked to seen a greater amount of colours (other flowers, higher saturation, etc). As it is, I look and expect a little more business in the rear.

Nice DOF in the shot too.

It's very Autumny, great for the current season though.

The colors are very cool on this photo… like very misty/chalky almost and you don’t see that much, so I like it :) The colors blend well together and that’s a good factor, also the whole thing kind of has an underwater feel to it. I don’t really know how but I like it =]

I love the colours, they balance out amazingly well. The bokeh is also fabulous.

I have a little problem with the sharp edges of the flower in focus. It seems too sharp and a little bit unnatural, and it doesn't blend very well with the overall grainy aspect of the image. But, perhaps, that's jut my problem.

Colours = awesome. :D Great shot, but the best thing about this is not the colours, it's the focusing, you did really well. :clap:

The colors are great, and I find the grain to really add to this image. It feels sort of desaturated overall, but the read really pops. :thumbsup: Nice dof.

I like the contrast of color on this picture with the red and the blurred green other then that I would add more colors in the background(more flowers and plants etc.) I dont know how you do that but I've always like the blur effect overall great picture=)
